Bbanda, Uganda: Community 1,100. Lack of clean reliable water. Current boreholes & open water sources are contaminated with coliforms including E. coli, making them unsuitable for drinking. EWB has implemented rainwater catchment systems & boreholes as a temporary fix. The addition of a pumped water distribution system would impact this community.

Shilongo, Uganda; Community 1,000. Limited access to clean water; relying on a single communal borehole as their safe water source. Currently, the pump, hand operated, causes wait times up to two hours. EWB would implement an automatic pumping system, alleviating this community's water access problems.
