A rotary vane pump works using positive displacement. It consists of a series of vanes mounted within a rotor. This structure provides circulation within the main cavity, which makes it possible to force air through a pipe, duct or process at varying rates based on the application. The stucture also allows for the movement of air into a process when a task requires a vacuum.
