A randomized, prospective study of the effects of lifestyle on quality of life for adults with rheumatoid arthritis

Role overview: Patient Partners will be consulted to decide appropriate questionnaires designed to assess comorbidities of rheumatoid arthritis including depression, fatigue, sleep disorders, and how different aspects of their lifestyle including diet and smoking affect their wellness and quality of life. We also will collaborate with patient partners to develop material for presentations in seminars and workshops. At the end of project, they will be consulted about final results and outputs.
 
Knowledge, experience, skills required: Patients with clinically diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis are invited to discuss their lived experience with their disease and other health issues due to rheumatoid arthritis including fatigue, sleep and mood disorders and effects of their lifestyle on their disease and quality of life.
 
Time commitment: All consultations and collaborations will be conducted during five 1-hour meetings.
 
Location: Virtual/Telephone
 
What you can expect from staff: An honorarium will be paid to our patient partners in appreciation of the time, efforts, sharing lived experiences and inputs into this project.
