My mother always said, "If you educate a girl you educate a family." Her sisters did not emphasize education for their girls and my cousins never went further than high school. My sisters and I all graduated university and went on with unusual careers and lives. My own girls were always encouraged to learn as much as they can and keep on learning. I am very proud of the women they have become. My sons have also developed a love of learning, so I take great pride in them. All because my mother loved to learn and passed it on to me.
