My mom is and always has been my biggest inspiration. She is who I look up too and go to for everything. She is not only my mom but my best friend. She has taught me so much and will continue to teach me for years to come. She always puts everyone ahead of herself and I think it's time for her to win something for herself for once.

My mom has inspired me all my life. Especially in the last ten years or so as she is a lawn bowler and has been working with development challenge teens and adults to get them on the green to lawn bowl thus having a productive happy life. I'm very proud of my mom. She would be ecstatic to receive a gift like this as she also spends many hours in the kitchen at home and for the lawn bowling club.

I love my Mom, she inspires me in

so many ways. She worked as a

cook for many years. She worked

very hard to provide for me and

our family. Sometimes she would

bring home pizza or other food

from her work, yummy! I

remember like it was yesterday.

Without her dedication I would not

be the person I am today. She

showed me how to love and I now

share that love with my daughter.

Thank you Mom, I love you.

My mom taught me to be true to myself. She told me to give everything a chance and never judge anything by its looks because the inside is always the best part.

I think the most important life lessons I learned from my mom was unconditional love, helping and being generous with people, and treat people the way you want to be treated. Be kind, smile, look at things in a optimistic way, and you will be infectious with your positive outlook and you will also have lots of friends who love to be around you. Take good care of those whom you love and always let them know how much you love and care for them.

My mom always told me "Don't say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to a friend. You wouldn't tell a friend she was ugly or stupid, so don't say it about yourself either".

My mom inspires me every single day. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, her strength, determination and bravery are just a few of the traits that make her the incredible woman she is. Although her battle with cancer presented many challenges, my mom never let any of them faze her. Despite having no hair or energy throughout her chemotherapy treatments, she got out of bed every single day to make sure she could spend some time with her only daughter. At the time I was only just a young girl, but these experiences have impacted my life in a significant way. Although I am not yet a mother myself, I hope that when I am, I will be at least half the amazing role model my mom was for me. I can’t even imagine my life without her today. For 24 years my mom has been my rock. With everything she has been through, her strength and resilience has taught me the most. Even through the most difficult situations she has always been determined to stay strong. These qualities are what make her such an admirable person and my best friend.

My mom is old school. She gardens, cans, makes jams and jellies, quilts and can do almost anything. In fact she can do everything she puts her mind to and puts her mind to a lot. She instilled in all her children the importance of "Home made". Whether it be clothes, food, or crafts the best things are those made by loving hands. I am a new mom and now have a deeper appreciation for the lessons she has taught. It would be nice to be able to give her something that helps her make her "home made" things a little easier.

My mom has inspired me in many ways. But the most inspirational way she has inspired me is not to give up and believe in myself and to not judge others no matter what their race, religion or orientation.

My Mom has always been my inspiration because no obstacle ever stood (or stands) in her way of being the best! She raised 4 girls on her own, while going to college and working full-time; we never wanted for anything - including her attention and love. I couldn't have raised my children on my own if it weren't for her guidance and support. Seven years ago we almost lost our Mom in a car accident. She suffered a brain injury as a result. Despite doctors beliefs that she'd be in hospital for a year, she was out in 3 months. My Mom's determination and strength to overcome this tragedy and continue to strive and thrive has always inspired me everyday and made me proud to call her my Mom! She's THE best!
