As there are many entries referring to Michael Owen's goal vs Argentina and Gazza in Italy, I thought I'd go a different way and go for Joe Cole's goal against Sweden in 2006. I was with a Swedish friend who was going on about how England hadn't beaten Sweden in so many years. Then Joe Cole got the ball and fired it speculatively towards their goal. It was a brilliant goal that left us both quite stunned! Shame we couldn't seal it with a win though!
