The most iconic memory of the World Cup for me was Argentina 78. As an 11 year old it was the World Cup that got me hooked and my passion for football has thrived ever since. The ticker tape opening in Buenos Aires and Mario Kempes of Argentina scoring 6 goals wrapped up a coulourful spectacle never to be forgotten.

My most iconic World Cup memory was Michael Owen's goal against Argentina. I was only eight at the time and to go from the soul crushing low of being two goals down with a man sent off to 2-2 was electrifying.

The way Owen did the defenders for pace and slotted the ball home still sends chills up my spine 16 years later.

The first memory that was truly my own rather than before my time is Gazza's tears in Italia 1990 but the most important to me is Beckhams goal celebration 1998. I was watching at Glastonbury and still the most amazing venue I've watched England

Suarez biting Chellini during the Uruguay/Italy game. Even more unbelievable was his denial that he intended to bite him and that he fell on to his shoulder, then 3 days later apologising for biting him and THEN Chellini asking FIFA to reduce his ban. UNBELIEVABLE!!
