What it means to be a hero to me?
Being a hero is hard. Everyone is looking up to you, convinced you’ll save the day. But that’s what makes heroes special. They have the heart to save lives. They have the courage to fight. They stand up for what is right. And they won’t give up. When disaster strikes, they appear. Horrible events are what bring the best out of humanity. Soldiers. Doctors. Police officers. Fire fighters. They’re all the same. They’re all what humanity desperately needs and wants. They are the heroes that earth is struggling to find. Why is it so hard for earth to find heroes? Do many of us not have what it takes to be a hero? I dare say, are we not capable to take matters in our own hands, to fight for what is right? Is the quality to be brave so hard to acquire? Is honesty so hard to achieve? Is humility, modesty, kindness, and strong will so hard to find in ourselves? Some might answer yes, it is hard, but how do you think our many soldiers become heroes? That they were simply born with it? No, they worked hard to achieve the status, the title, the honor, to be a hero.
