Can one really classify a hero? It’s true there isn't a specific definition since everyone has their own opinions on the matter. A hero can possess a variety of qualities; either good or bad. Everyone has a weakness or some type of vulnerability. An exact ideal hero doesn't actually exist in my eyes, since it’s true people have their good and bad points. You'd just have to overcome your weakness to not be afraid of it slowing you down from your true dreams.

Some traits that I find a hero should obtain are the usual ones: kindness, passion, bravery, and cooperation. A hero should push on for what they love and believe in and not just for their own benefit. But of course not every personality of a hero contains these features. I’d rather encourage a bright and kind leader instead of a leader of hatred and wrong intentions, as anybody.

I definitely consider believing in yourself should also be a property. Not even one person has to acknowledge you in order to feel good about yourself as a hero. Not even one person has to praise you. As long as you are proud of your actions and goals, you can be your own hero at heart because you saved yourself from failure as a person for your sake and the ones that surround you.

Instances of a hero can include the saviors of our community: police, firemen, doctors, educators, and the citizens. Simple actions such as assisting an elderly across the street or holding the door open for one another as well as complex actions such as stopping a criminal or saving a fellow citizen from a fire are all contributing to the welfare of the community. All together, they make up all kinds of heroes. With just one good deed, you can be a hero. This is what the term means to me.
