I have learned a lot from dogs. From my volunteer work at APL, I have learned that there are too many homeless dogs. It is better to adopt one than to buy one from a breeder.
It is important to spay and neuter your pets so they won’t have puppies and it’s better for their health. I have also learned how to take care of dogs. They need medicine so they don’t get fleas or heart worms. They should not live outside on a chain.
I have also learned about pit bulls. They are not mean. They are just a type of dog. Some pit bulls are trained by people to fight and be mean. Even fighting dogs can be taught to become therapy dogs, like Puddin.
Dogs are nice to everyone and people should be like that too. Dogs are very smart. You can train dogs to do tricks, or become service dogs.
Some towns have BSL which means dogs like pit bulls can’t live there, like Denver. People who don’t know about pit bulls shouldn’t say bad things about them.
Shelter dogs are awesome because they are very nice, cute and they need homes. Some people surrender their dogs to the shelter because they don’t want them anymore, and I hate that. I like to help them find new homes. I have learned that when you help dogs, it makes them happy and they will always be your friend.
I like helping dogs because they can’t help themselves. I am their voice.
