1. A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN MURDER AND CRIMES- Our country is so small and beautiful with people that are often friendly but yet we have so many crimes every year. We need to propel more iniciatives to help fight this high murder rate including more accountability from the justice system and the introduction or heavier use of forensic science. Also there are too many crimes; praedial larceny, theft, rapes and assaults, th occurence of these need to be curbed in 2014.
2. A HIGHER LEVEL OF ROAD SAFETY - Whether its motorists or cyclists, more attention needs to be given to road safety and each person should be reminded of their responsibilities while on the road and heavier sanctions should be introduced if they do not exhibit such safety measures.
3. MORE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY - Over the past few decades there has been too many scandals and questionable decisions being made my our elected officials that we are unaware of. We are always promised change but in 2014 we need to see the change happening regardless of who is in charge.
4. MORE CHARITY SUPPORT - Often times we think doing good is only for ourselves or for our friends but we need to support the less fortunate not only at christmas time but all the time by giving in cash or kind. Remember it is a blessing to give just as to receive!
5. CLEANER MUSIC - Dancehall and reggae music is what our country and our culture is known for. We need to hear and see more uplifting and more concious music being played on our airwaves and displayed on our televisions. The slackness and violence portrayed in our music indeed contributes to the degradation of our value systems, especially among youth.
6. A DECLINE IN UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES- The last unemployment rate as reported by STATIN was 15.40% with unemployment among youth occupying 6% of that figure. The government needs to invest into initiatives that will offer job creation, not only in the traditional sectors like teaching and medice, but also into non-traditional areas like forensic science, engineering biotechnology, environmental management and also into the skills sectors as these areas are just as important.

1) Cut Down on Imported goods and support our own ... e.g. Importing Patties when we have 3 awesome options to choose from Tastee, Juicy Beef & Mothers ... I want my country Jamaica to take this buy Jamaica build Jamaica seriously

2) More Jobs – Obviously if we cut down on imported goods we would need more man power to produce enough supply for everyone in the country ... which would then lead to more jobs

3) Less Crime & Violence – A lot of our youths resort to violence and crime because they want to provide for themselves and their families. They don’t do it because they want to but because they feel like they have to

4) More Money – Increase the minimum wage ... the price of living is increasing everyday but yet still pays are at a stand still

5) Invest in Our Youth – Our Minister, Lisa Hanna is doing a good job on our youths but I think more should be done ... offer more scholarships because this student loan thing is ridiculous – I’m a second year nursing student at UWI and I’m already worrying about paying back my growing debt !

6) Beautification of our Country -fix our roads, paint over where needs to be painted, plant more trees, beach clean ups, get our homeless people off the road and give them a place to stay etc
