It seems we have become very jaded- because sales pitches are lying to us all day, every day about what products will do. Constantly we are told something will "make those wrinkles disappear and look 20 years younger overnight!" or is "a miracle weight loss product to help us loose 20 pounds in 5 days while eating everything you want" or is "the best cleaner that will take out any stain".

So needless to say, when you fork out good money for a product, and you use it for the first time & find out that is genuine to its claims, it is nothing less than a cause for celebration!!! THAT moment was when I fell in love with my Hydroflask.

I too had been hesitant to spend the money on a water bottle. But I was so tired of having warm water by 10 am on hot days, and the vendor did offer a money-back guarantee. I was fully expecting to have to pack that bottle back up for a return, having been disappointed so, so many times before.

So imaging my surprise, even excitement!!!, over the course of a long, hot day when my water retained its icy-cold goodness. It was another animal rescue event during the summer in Florida. Everyone was all excited in the morning, setting up the tent, looking forward to bringing out the dogs & cats, and getting them out of the shelter and into their furrever homes :) But by the afternoon everyone was sooo hot, sweaty, and out of energy. Even the dogs are looking at us like "where's the air conditioning?" as they took refuge under the tables & anywhere else there was a tiny patch of shade.

It was during those hard hours, towards the end, that the cold water coming from the Growler was a savior for everyone- humans and animals alike. Every time I opened it up to get water for myself & share it with the animals, it was the most welcome break. I smiled, the dogs wagged their tails, and we were all more motivated to stick it out for just a few more hours in the heat.

That cold water helped us stay out there longer & meet more potential adopters. So I guess you can say not only did it keep me & the animals hydrated, it helped save lives :)
