I experienced the bad side of life growing up in war circumstances (Ex Yugoslavia), so I decided to show something that is above war and crimes and bad people; nature. After all we share the same sun and the same sky and we should respect the rhythm of the nature and follow it in our lives .This series of paintings is called "Helios" and it is dedicated to the Sun, celebrating its Energy, Love and Life and its connection with a humans and nature.

Designer: Loris Bottello
Country: Italy

Dandylight sparked from the idea to connect people who share the same space. It is a network of objects, a physical interface inspired by the beauty of nature and lets people engage in a playful communication with light. Now it’s up to you to play, everyone is interesting! The devices use Arduino and IR emitters and receivers to communicate with each other. A tilt sensor in the flower triggers the shot and an rgb LED displays the color.

Affinity Bracelet
Designer: Andreu Escrivà
Country: Spain
Affinity Bracelet works to break social gaps and offers the possibility of meeting people and creating connection between strangers who share personal or professional interests. Users enter their interests in the software via PC, the data is downloaded to the bracelet and then relayed to other users with Affinity Bracelets that are close by. When two users similar interests intersect in the street, the bracelet vibrates and the screen shows: the name of the other person, their hobbies and your shared affinity percentage.

Bi-Fi
Designer: Mohammad Amir Safari
Country: Iran
“Bi-Fi” is a conceptual smartphone app that encourages togetherness. After telling ‘Bi-Fi’ the key people that you care for, you are notified whenever they are close. If you ignore the presence of a person a red heart icon would appear on the screen, not interfering with your task, but remaining there as a reminder. Your cellphone will vibrate, like a real heart, and with every tap of your fingers the heart would start cracking resulting in a broken heart. By visualising the number of broken hearts the app encourages its users to pay more attention to others.

I think that a relationship is centered on the tiny details like sharing late afternoon, holding hands or feeling the beats of each other´s heart. With Hearter I want these beats to reach everywhere.

Toque
Designer: Aline Darc Piculo dos Santos
Country: USA
Nowadays, everyone is busy and people are increasingly multitasking in order to save time. However, some moments should not be rushed. There are moments of intimacy that should be appreciated like a picnic with family, going out with friends and having sex. Toque was created with the purpose of connecting couples during intimate moments. Toque is a Portuguese word for touch. It is a lingerie with a micro sensor of touch that lights up when someone touches it. There are three different models for different types of women made in different types of fabrics such as satin, lace and Lycra.

The City Lung
Designer: Floriane Aubrit - Dan Baczynski - Paul Bouisset - Corentin Fabry
Country: France
Video: http://vimeo.com/87789613
The aim of our object is to gather people around a common goal: take care of their city as they would take care of their own body. In this sense, we created “city lung”. City lung is a ʺlivingʺ object that represents the air pollution index of different cities around the world. The better the air quality is, the easier the object “breathsʺ (and vice versa). Raw data is materialized into a “living” object to create an emotional link between inhabitants and their city so that they become aware of their impact and act together against pollution.

The Kopia Project
Designer: Channing Shattuck
Country: USA
Since the beginning, man has always been a nomadic species. We are wanderers, explorers, and adventurers at heart. At the same time, we are instinctively social creatures. The Kopia Project reinvents how we live. It consists of a central hub that is shared by multiple denizens and each denizen owns a Kona Bedwagon - a bedroom on wheels. Stories and experiences can be shared in the central hub and when each person wants to disembark on their own journey, they are free to unhitch their bedwagon and start their adventure all over again.

Drink your life truly
Designer: David Polasek
Country: Czech Republic
This graphic poster is aimed as viral advertising campaign and draws attention to the time spent on social networks. People are robbing themselves of their immediate emotions and experience in face to face communications. It's all about feelings produced by our senses like smell, touch, taste. Why should we deprive of this feelings voluntarily? The poster depicts a symbolism of the bottle and the hourglass. This illustrates to us the opportunity to choose our own balance. Let's drink our life truly.

KIWARS
Designer: Hesham Shawgy
Country: Egypt
KIWARS determines our emotions by measuring blood pressure and heart beats through a tiny sensor. It calculates the average emotional feeling of a group, and the resulting feeling is translated on a digital screen; shown by light, colors and vibrations. KIWARS can be used at a larger scale in parks, hotel lobbies & public areas to measure the common feeling of any number of people. It can become a game to try and improve the emotional feeling of the group.

Designer: Frantisek Toth
Country: Slovakia
It is strange that the environments that accumulate a lot of people are paradoxically socially passive. My idea is to connect people and create opportunities for communication through music and sharing it. Imagine the headphones that can transmit a wireless signal to others in the area. It creates an intimate setting only for those who listen. Anyone can be connected to anyone who shares music. It creates opportunity and makes us better reach those around us. It is a starting point for conversation or just a simple compliment.
